Entertainment One acquires Canadian assets of THINKFilm

Entertainment One Ltd. ('the Company'), the international independent film and entertainment content business, today announces that it has agreed an output deal with US independent studio, THINKFilm. Through its subsidiary, Seville Pictures, the Company will be the exclusive Canadian distributor of films produced by THINKFilm until the end of 2010.
THINKFilm's current and upcoming feature releases include Bordertown, starring Jennifer Lopez and Antonio Banderas, and In The Shadow Of The Moon, winner of the World Cinema Audience Award at Sundance 2007.
Entertainment One has also acquired THINKFilm's library of 235 critically-acclaimed and commercially-proven features for the remainder of the term that THINKFilm owns the pictures.
The acquisition brings the Company's filmed entertainment catalogue to 700+ titles. New additions to the Company's catalogue include the highly successful Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon directed by Ang Lee, Pedro Almodovar's Academy Award winning All About My Mother, and The Assassination of Richard Nixon.
Entertainment One's strategy is to build a leading independent international entertainment and content ownership and distribution business. The deal follows recent acquisitions of Holland and Belgium distributor RCV Entertainment BV in January 2008; UK based Contender Entertainment Group in July 2007 and of Canada based Seville Pictures in August 2007.
