Entertainment One appoints Rainer Grupe for key international role at Entertainment One

Berlin, February 9, 2008: Patrice Theroux, President of the Filmed Entertainment division of Entertainment One (E1), one of the world’s leading international entertainment companies, today announced the appointment of Rainer Grupe as Vice President, Filmed Entertainment effective immediately.
Reporting directly to Theroux, Mr. Grupe's role will be working on the international expansion plans for the fast growing group as well as to oversee the multi-territory content strategy of Entertainment One’s filmed entertainment operations in the UK, Benelux, Canada and the U.S.
Mr. Grupe is a veteran in the international sales, distribution and production business with more than 20 years of experience as VP, International Sales for PolyGram Film International in London and previously as VP, Acquisition & Distribution for Senator Film AG in Germany.
Mr. Grupe most recently worked as an independent producer in London. His producing credits include Buffalo Soldiers starring the Academy-Award® nominees Joaquin Phoenix, Ed Harris and Academy-Award® winner Anna Paquin as well as handling global rights for UK pop star George Michael’s self portrait feature A Different Story.
